Technology Improves Prevention
If you’ve always wondered what our dentists see when they are performing a detailed exam of your mouth, wonder no longer. The intraoral cameras utilized in our office provide detailed insight on the conditions of your teeth, gums, and other oral structures. This way, you’re never left in the dark when it’s time for your routine checkup. Our dentists can even take high-resolution photos of your mouth, then display them on a monitor for closer viewing!
Dentists may be trained to catch the symptoms of underlying dental diseases, but they can only see so much with the naked eye. That’s where highly-detailed, all-digital X-rays come in. As part of your routine checkup, a series of X-rays are captured of your teeth and bone tissue, allowing them to understand far more about your oral health. Not only does going digital ensure that you receive X-rays in a matter of minutes, but we can reduce radiation exposure by up to 85 percent!
Trios® Digital Impression System
Have you ever had to bite into grey impression material just so a dental crown or series of clear aligners could be created for your future treatment? If so, you may have found the experience mildly unpleasant. With a digital impression system available in-office, there’s no need to worry about the gray goop any longer. In just a few minutes, we can carefully scan your mouth and create a 3D image from it. This makes treatments like placing crowns or creating clear aligners incredibly easy, more efficient, and more enjoyable.
Diagnodent® Cavity Detection System
Much like gum disease, cavities have a tendency to be difficult to catch without the help of a professional. However, the best way to stay fully proactive against tooth decay is by using technology designed to catch it before it even causes damage to enamel. Our early cavity detection system consists of an advanced handheld device that relies on laser fluorescence to confirm fissure caries and proximal caries, also known as cavities.
In-House Dental Lab
Relying on a dental lab is commonplace for most dental offices. However, Faist & Koops Family Dentistry quickly realized that by keeping the tools of a dental lab in-house, we could save you time and money along the way! As you get to know our office, you’ll find that we have zirconia mills, ovens and 3D scanners. These devices make it possible to design and fabricate a brand-new restoration and place it on your damaged tooth faster than ever.
