Times When You Need to See the Dentist

June 23, 2018

Besides your routine cleanings, these issues warrant a trip to the dentist.

Sensitive Teeth or Pain

If you ever experience painin your mouth or any sensitivity, be sure to schedule an appointment with your dentist. These issues should not be ignored, as they can be signs of other dental health issues.

Dry Mouth

If your mouth continually feels dry, your dentist may be able to offer relief. This may not seem like a significant issue, but saliva is our bodies natural cavity fighter. Lack of saliva can increase your chances of developing dental cavities.

Problems with Gums

Inflamed gums, bleeding gums, and gums that are bright red may be signs of gum disease. You want to get any of these issues looked at as soon as possible.

Cosmetic Procedures

You should schedule a follow-up appointment with your dentist shortly after you have had any restoration, including dental crowns, fillings, dentures, etc.
